The Membership Fee
To take up a course of training you will have to join the club. The current annual membership fee is €350 (Euros). We do offer limited day membership €2. This day membership is intended to facilitate people to take a trial lesson and also to facilitate visiting licenced pilots. We cannot award anybody more than three day memberships, after which full membership will be required. Flying Rates
Our current flying rates are €120 per hour (pro rata for shorter flights). Additional Costs
Unfortunately flying is not an inexpensive passtime. Much of the price is generated by the requirements to comply with government regulations for aircraft maintenance and airfield licencing. Also as you probably suspect Insurance costs are also very high. There will be some books to buy, including a Pilot's Log book. The ground school will attract a fee of €150 for the winter lecture series. If you continue to fly, there will eventually be fees for Medical Examinations, Issue of Licence, written examinations. |
